CONVOLUTED PTFE HOSE FLEXTEF-CON

A convoluted PTFE flexible hose is a flexible pipe whose outer surface is characterized by a series of convolutions or waves. These convolutions allow the hose to bend more easily in different directions, improving its overall flexibility.



The convoluted PTFE flexible hose is characterized by a corrugated outer profile that increases flexibility and resistance to repeated bending. It can be manufactured with a seamless extruded and sintered PTFE liner and protected with an outer stainless-steel braid.

In addition, the convoluted PTFE flexible hose can be made with a reinforcing spiral in metallic material (AISI 316), or can be supplied with other reinforcements depending on the application.

  • Reinforcement: -
  • Coverage:A high-tensile AISI 304 stainless-steel braid. (AISI 316, Hastelloy/Monel available on request)
  • Areas of application:Suitable for conveying acids and highly aggressive fluids, also for chemical applications in general, with excellent resistance to vacuum.
  • Temperature:-70°C + 260°C
  • Safety factor:ratio between operating pressure and burst pressure ≥ 1:3
  • Dimension:from DN 3/8” (9,5 mm) a DN 2” (51 mm)
  • Certifications:CE 2002/72 and DM 174/2004 ATEX Class I Zone 1 and 2
