MONOLITHIC INSULATING JOINTS

The purpose of installing monolithic insulating joints on gas and oil pipelines is to ensure electrical insulation between different sections of the lines and prevent any harmful electrochemical interactions between them.

These insulating joints are also essential for facilitating correct current distribution in cathodic protection systems. They can be installed either buried or above ground by circumferential welding between two pipe sections.

Struttura

The insulating joint uses the integral extrusion welding method. Bolted or flanged connections are not permitted. After completing assembly of the insulating joint, internal components must be fixed in their respective positions. The sealing element adheres firmly to the insulating panel inside the insulating joint and has permanent elasticity. In addition, both sides of the sealing element are in direct contact with the bare metal surface without movement, ensuring the compactness of the insulating joint.
